November is No New Projects Month

Feeling overwhelmed? Got a nagging itch to start a new project but know you really shouldn’t? Commit today celebrating No New Projects Month (NoNewProMo, for short).

GitHub - NaNoGenMo/2016: National Novel Generation Month, 2016 edition.

Spend the month of November writing code that generates a novel of 50k+ words. This is in the spirit of National Novel Writing Month’s interesting definition of a novel as 50,000 words of fiction.

NaBoMaMo

National Botmaking Month. It’s like NaNoGenMo, which is itself like NaNoWriMo, inasmuch as all three are creative challenges which take place during the month of November. All three are international, so Na is a bit of a misnomer, but InBoMaMo is even more of a mouthful.

PROCJAM – Make Something That Makes Something

PROCJAM is an annual event about “making things that make things”. We make games, art, toys, tools and other things that use procedural or random generation.

FLIPPAPER

Use big color markers, each of them corresponding to a function (bumper, wall, speed up…), and sketch everything that crosses your mind or come up with an actual gameplay. Press SCAN and start a frenzied pinball game! During your game, add some areas and test your drawing in quest of the ultimate gameplay.
